Education doesn’t stop with the university degree. Further education at university level in Bern is supported by the faculties, institutes and the centre for further education. They offer different courses of study, all of which are suitable for practising professionals and lead to one of three qualifications: Master of Advanced Studies (MAS), Diploma of Advanced Studies (DAS) or Certificate of Advanced Studies (CAS). In addition, students can choose from a number of individual courses.

Management-level and specialist employees in administration, associations and other organisations can find courses to suit their needs in the University of Bern’s further education programme. The degree courses, workshops and seminars deal with questions relevant to science, economics and society.

Master courses exclusive to the University of Bern include «International Law and Economics» (MILE), «Health administration» (MHA), «Evaluation» (MAS Ev), «Dance culture» (MAS TK) or «Pastoral Care» (MAS PCPP). All courses are taught by university lecturers, in cooperation with experts from Switzerland and abroad. The courses are based on the latest scientific findings, and aimed at people with a university degree and work experience.
